Are we heading to a full-scale WW3? It looks awfully close.

It has been almost two months since Russia invaded Ukraine and made headline news each day in the World. The sanctions by Western nations put on Russia (and Belarus) so far hasn’t been nearly as effective as we hoped and Russia shows no fear in their pursuit of claiming Ukraine as part of their own country. Nobody benefits from the war. People die. Economy plummets. Infrastructure is damaged to the irreplaceable levels that we have to start from the bottom.

With this chaos in Ukraine, other non-NATO nations are fearing Russia’s intentions with the Europe and countries are re-assessing their military strategies and defense. Two nations have been acting fast and publicly announced they’re considering joining the NATO: Sweden and Finland.

Finland borders Russia. It is a problem for Finland as they fear they might be next in the target line after seeing what Russia has done to Ukraine. Finland and Sweden have long been neutral between USA and Russia. This dates back to the Cold War and they remain the same, hence why they still have not joined the NATO (although both are in the EU). Things have changed drastically in recent months and both nations are now considering joining NATO fearing Russia is now a major threat to their national security.

Of course, Russia isn’t going to sit and chill about this. They announced that they will move their nuclear arsenal to the Baltic region as both nations make moves to join NATO. NATO has publicly said both nations would be welcomed should they decide to join the alliance.

This creates another massive conflict in the Baltic region and quite possibly entire Europe. We’re looking at a major spark towards World War 3.

Does Russia have enough troops, weapons, supplies, and money to fight two wars at the same time? That’s how Germany and Japan lost WW2. Germany was fighting Western Europe and Russia. Japan was fighting both Asian nations and USA. You can’t fight two wars in both directions, that’s just a horrible strategy. Is Russia going to do that while they’re still having difficulty with Ukraine alone? If they invade Finland and/or Sweden, is NATO then going to stand up and act with military power? So many questions.

This will definitely stir up the rest of the World. The World is watching. China is awaiting. India is too. There are countries waiting to see how the USA and Western Europe (NATO) will handle situations they do not have a stake in. Can they then invade their neighbors over unsolved disputes? They’re quitting watching how this unfolds and putting their plans together. It’s already bad for the World and humankind. The economy has suffered greatly and we’re all feeling it in our daily lives. The prices surged and putting food on the table is harder than ever. Let’s all stop when we can and go back to peaceful lives. I thought the 21st century and the internet is supposed to bring us together? I guess not.
